| Hi, everyone! Thank you for signing up for our newsletter and for supporting our independent bookstore. (If you haven’t signed up, you can do so by filling out the form on the homepage). We are just over two months in and are enjoying every day of this exciting adventure. We are very grateful for the opportunity to sell and talk about books, and do not take any of it for granted. Our monthly newsletter will contain store updates and other important details regarding upcoming sales, events, and some info about the previous month’s activities (August pictures below). We had successful months of June, July, and August, better than we anticipated. We had a great Bookstore Romance Day sale on August 9; hosted our first in-store movie night on August 16 (The Sandlot); and held a very fun kids’ back-to-school book fair on August 24, graciously hosted by the Sandy Historical Museum. They will also be hosting our upcoming Cookbook and Craft Book sale on Saturday, September 27 (flyer below). Our next movie night will be held on Saturday, September 20 at 7:00, where we will be showing an Oregon classic, The Goonies (flyer below). Tickets can be purchased in-store from now until then, or, up until all fifteen of our available seats sell out. Buy your ticket early to guarantee your seat! It is a fun way to relax with family, friends, and the Sandy community. Bring your favorite snacks and movie-appropriate beverages, and a chair or blanket. Popcorn will be provided by us! (If you cannot make it in-store to purchase your movie ticket(s) in advance, contact us and we will reserve them for you). A sneak peek at the final quarter of the year… We will be having a Crime, Thriller, and Mystery sale in early October (flyer and details to come later). We will also be putting on a short story contest starting October 1 through December 31 (more details to follow in the October newsletter). That’s it for now! Thank you for subscribing and reading.
